Yeah Right!!!

Well!! This is how it came to an end. Elections have been postponed which means cancelled as we all are aware that the semester exams are starting within two weeks. Now no one wants to disturb their studies with all the campaigning. Precisely that will not be a comfortable environment for the students to study for the final exams. I don't blame the university alone for postponing the elections. They did it because it might create a uncomfortable ambiance in the exam days. The student community was really happy that at least this time we will have a student council which can hopefully help making the students lives better. Everything was going very well. EC called students for a meeting if they have anything to request or object. People turned up and attended the meeting. Nomination date was fixed and if everything went smooth by 10th of November we would have our students council. But meanwhile, everybody forgot one thing. This is EFL University where the decisions can be taken by a group of people and can be changed according to their convenience. And the decisions can be manipulated. It looked like the student community was made fun of. Every day we found new notices with new decisions changing everything. And they say these rules were there from long time or this is constitutional rights. Yes. Constitutional rights.I accept it. They were there when the EC called people for meeting. Why not then and why now? Didn't you know the rules before? or did you just ignore it then and realized suddenly? Why could not you ask for the new posts or reservations earlier? These questions have been bothering me from the time the notice of election postponement put up. Whatever it is. Here we are. The same place where we started. May be people got to know a little of who is who because of the elections. But this has been a great disappointment to the student community.
